Jabz Boxing is helping to fight breast and ovarian cancers.

The business, which has a location at 5512 N. Seventh Ave., recently raised nearly $3,000 for Bright Pink, a non-profit organization committed to saving lives from breast and ovarian cancers. Over a recent week, customers could take donation-based classes to help Bright Pink’s mission. The designated Bright Pink workouts were open to the public with a recommended donation of at least $5 per class. Class participants were urged to wear pink during the classes and were given access to digital tools from Bright Pink to help them understand their individual risks of contracting cancer and to personalize their prevention plans.

Jabz workouts blend cardio, strength-training, core work and plyometrics, giving students a full-body workout. The workouts are circuit-style and use boxing-inspired exercises. To learn more, visit jabzboxing.com.
