A local cookie and bakery shop will use a grant to prepare and deliver birthday cakes to foster children.

Marcus Lemonis, from the CNBC show “The Profit,” recently provided grants to small business owners around the country through his Lemon-Aid Foundation including a $5,000 award to Urban Cookies Bakeshop, located at 2325 N. Seventh St. Shaun and Brady Breese, co-owners of the bakeshop, will provide more than 100 cakes to foster children through the non-profit organization For Goodness Cakes.

Lemonis established the Lemon-AID Foundation last year, promising to deliver $50 million to help small businesses and underserved communities.
