If you love smoothies, you can try a nationally recognized recipe created by a Phoenix woman or grab one of these treats at a local restaurant.

Gillean Barkyoumb, a registered dietitian, was selected as part of a national search for a Ninja Smoothie Bowl Sommelier. Ninja, a kitchen appliances company, chose Barkyoumb to craft custom smoothie bowl recipes with the Ninja Foodi Smoothie Bowl Maker and Nutrient Extractor.

Barkyoumb’s inaugural smoothie bowl recipe, the Cerealously Fruity Smoothie Bowl, was created in partnership with the Ninja Test Kitchen. To make it, pour coconut milk into a 14-ounce smoothie bowl maker, filling to the “liquid fill” line. Then add a quarter of a cup of frozen strawberries, one frozen banana, half a cup of frozen cauliflower rice, one tablespoon of coconut cream and one scoop of vanilla protein powder up to the “max fill” line. Blend these ingredients, continuously twisting the tamper counterclockwise. Then remove the blades, pour the smoothie into a bowl and top it with any fruity cereal, fresh strawberries, a fresh banana and shredded coconut. To learn more, visit ninjakitchen.com.
