The Arizona Jewish Theatre Company hosts vocalist, movie and TV star Lainie Kazan in an “Up Close and Personal” event 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14 in the Memorial Hall at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road.

    The event begins at 6:30 p.m. for those purchasing tickets at the Producer Level, with a dessert buffet with Kazan ($75). At 7:30 p.m., the doors will open for those at the Director level as well ($50), as Kazan entertains with several selections from her latest CD: “Lainie Kazan–In the Groove.”

    At 8 p.m. will be the showing of the movie, “Beau Jest–The Movie,” in which Kazan plays the role of the mother, with complimentary soft drinks and popcorn offered. The evening will end with a question-and-answer period with Kazan.
