Kriehn featured in solo exhibit

North Central resident and artist Sarah Kriehn will be featured in a solo exhibit titled “Abstractions” this month in the Olney Room Art Gallery at Trinity Cathedral, 100 W Roosevelt St. A free artist’s reception will take place 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 16. The exhibit runs through Aug. 3.

Kriehn was born and raised in Winslow, Ariz. She received her degree from Arizona State University. Her career in the arts spans over 20 years. After teaching elementary art in Phoenix, she began her second career as an artist.

Her prints are created by transferring an image inked onto Plexiglas to paper. Using both biomorphic and geometric abstraction, her images investigate the boundaries of time and space and their relationships to the natural and human world.
