The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) recently opened the new Thunderbird Clinic, created to provide access closer to home to the growing number of veterans in the north Phoenix/Metrocenter area.

    The clinic, located at 9424 N. 25th Ave., will initially serve about 5,500 veterans, with that number expected to grow to about 8,000 in the next year. Services include primary care and mental health services, as well as some laboratory and pharmacy services.

    The clinic is one of seven PVAHCS outpatient clinics in central and northern Arizona, which provide primary care and other services to eligible veterans. For more information, call 602-633-6900.
