    Local First Arizona presents this free, family-friendly festival that will showcase a variety of local businesses, restaurants, live music and children’s activities, as well as a beer and wine garden. Phoenix Green Streets Festival

    The Green Streets Festival is a free event celebrating green initiatives, sustainability, arts and urban living. It will feature local arts and crafts vendors, locally grown food prepared by some of the Valley’s favorite chefs, a beer garden, demonstrations and more. There will be vendors showcasing eco-friendly, sustainable products and services and information about energy and water saving resources, rebates and programs.     All items have been handcrafted by the boutique members and are offered at reasonable prices. There also will be a variety of fresh baked goods and other edibles available for purchase. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at this private home off 15th Avenue between Northern and Glendale avenues. There’s no admission charge, however a non-perishable item for the Desert Mission Food Bank will be gratefully accepted. No credit cards.

    Beta Sigma Sorority presents this even featuring jewelry, purses, clothing, unique holiday gifts and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Whispering Hope Ranch, which offers special needs children and their families a ranch-style camp and retreat experience. There is no admission charge.
