Credit Union West, located at 350 E. Dunlap Ave. in Sunnyslope, has partnered with the Sunnyslope Village Alliance to offer a $1,000 scholarship to recognize and reward outstanding student achievement.

            The scholarship can be used for any accredited university or college attended on a part-time or full-time basis. The award may be used for tuition, books or supplies.

            The deadline to apply for the scholarship is Friday, March 30. Applications can be picked up in the counseling department at Sunnyslope High School.
