Hunter’s Runners return on April 3

The Ninth Annual Hunter White Memorial Run will take place on Saturday, April 3, at 8:30 a.m. The scenic route runs through the charming neighborhood of North Central and includes a 5K, 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk (including leashed dogs), and a free Toddler Trot.

Hunter’s Runners is held every Easter weekend in honor of Hunter White, who grew up in North Central Phoenix. Hunter was a student at the University of Arizona when he was killed in a spring break car accident in 2001 at the age of 19.  Proceeds will benefit the Hunter White Memorial Fund and the Hunter White Health Advocacy Program at the University of Arizona.

The race will begin and finish at All Saints’ Episcopal Church just south of Maryland on the west side of Central Avenue. The entry fee for the race is $20 if postmarked by March 27. The entry fee after March 27 is $25. Race day registrations are accepted at 7 a.m.

For information about the race or to download a registration form, go to www.huntersrunners.com. For on-line registration, go to www.active.com. For more information, call Jenny Ensley at 480-759-5298.
