Beth El Congregation will host its second-annual Community Women’s Seder 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at the synagogue, 1118 W. Glendale Ave. This special evening is open to all Jewish women in the Greater Phoenix area.
Janette Silverman, Beth El’s education and youth director, will lead the Seder with a Haggadah she has written especially for this event. Cost of $35 for synagogue members and $40 for guests and members of the community, which includes a chicken dinner and a copy of the Haggadah for participants to keep.

Church offers Lenten
suppers in March
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church at 1212 E. Glendale Ave. offers a Lenten soup supper every Wednesday in March starting at 6 p.m., followed by a short devotional Bible study.
The meal includes your selection from many homemade soups, a salad, bread, and dessert. You need to bring nothing but yourself for dinner, fellowship, and devotionals. Lent is the season leading up to the celebration of Easter Sunday.
