Councilman Tom Simplot and the owners of Hula’s Modern Tiki have  launched a new fundraising program, Mahalo Mondays. Each month, Hula’s will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from every Monday to a different nonprofit organization. April’s beneficiary is the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS Research, and May’s beneficiary is the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.
