The city of Phoenix invites applicants to apply for its annual, one-year Management Intern Program that begins June 30, 2008. The recruitment is open to individuals who have earned a master’s degree or will complete all course work toward a master’s degree by June 30, 2008. In the past, two to four candidates have been selected annually for this competitive program.
Application packets are available by calling 602-262-6278 until Friday, Jan. 25, or online at http://phoenix.gov/ interns. Application materials will be accepted until 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28. To learn more about the program, plan to attend an informational session Thursday, Jan. 10, in the city personnel test room, 135 N. Second Ave. Selected individuals will observe firsthand the city’s efforts to address some of its most pressing issues. By performing rotational assignments in the City Manager’s Office, the Budget and Research Department, and departments providing direct public services to the community, selected individuals will gain professional skills and opportunities to work closely and network with top city executives and managers.
