Teacher career fair set for Feb 23 |
A Teacher Career Fair will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at Metro Tech High School in the Student Union from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Phoenix Union High School District has openings for the 2008-09 school year in all subject areas. Critical need areas include Math, Special Ed, ELL English and Reading.
Attendees should bring resume, transcripts, teacher certification, letters of recommendation and a copy of a fingerprint clearance card. Phoenix Union teachers earn the highest salaries in Arizona, averaging over $55,000, and a first year teacher earns $36,947 this year. The district salary schedule will also honor up to eight previous years of experience.
