Film festival has short turn-around

The Almost Famous Film Festival (A3F) is launching its 8th Annual 48 Hour Short Film Challenge Feb. 17-19, 2012. This event is open to all ages and abilities and anyone who wants to create a 1-5 minute film in just two days or 48 hours.

Teams come together on Friday, Feb. 17 for a kick-off party where the official guidelines are announced; the event takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. at Majerle’s 9 Lounge in downtown Phoenix, 24 N. 2nd St. Teams then have 2 days or 48 hours to write a script, find locations, gather their cast and crew. Sound crazy? It is, but it’s also a lot of fun!

The A3F is the largest film challenge in the Southwest. Winning films are screened at the AMC Arizona Center. For more information, visit http://www.almostfamousfilmfestival.com.
