Living Streams holds Grand Opening Just over a year ago, Living Streams Church, headed by Pastor Mark Buckley, moved into the former First Baptist Church building on the northwest corner of Central and Glendale avenues. Since that time, church officials and volunteers have been remodeling, re-painting, re-landscaping and just generally hoping to re-inspire not only churchgoers, but also the neighborhood. Sunday, April 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. marks the church’s Grand Opening, complete with free food, a rock wall for the kids, live music and much more—all in hopes of drawing folks in to check out the new facility. Currently, Living Streams offers activities throughout the week like yoga and men’s basketball, while staying active locally with groups like Habitat for Humanity. The church also offers support groups for those suffering from addiction or grief, and plenty of men’s and women’s Bible studies, book studies and even a group for young moms. Services are at 9 and 11 a.m. Sundays with a mid-week family study night on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Beginning in June, there will be a Saturday night service. Childcare and youth classes are provided at each service.
