The Washington Elementary School District will host a job fair for classified job openings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 25 at the Administrative Center, 4650 W. Sweetwater Ave. Classified job openings are those positions that do not require a teaching certificate. Examples include bus drivers, custodians, crossing guards, food service helpers, instructional assistants, special education assistants and trades positions.
The job fair is great opportunity for those interested in working in education to learn about the various jobs available in the Washington Elementary School District. The fair will include informational booths about the various programs and benefits offered in the WESD including health insurance, community enrichment programs, transportation, preschool, Head Start and human resources information. If you or someone you know is interested in attending, click on the employment link above and fill out the classified job application. The WESD will screen applications and contact qualified applicants to schedule interviews during the fair. Walk-in applicants are welcome. Walk-ins will have the opportunity to complete an application at the fair but will not be guaranteed an interview. As a walk-in applicant, you will need to provide the following information when you complete the application: names, dates, addresses and telephone numbers for employment history and personal references. If you are applying for a paraprofessional teaching assistant position, you are advised to bring proof of your 60 college credits or passing score on the paraprofessional test. If you have questions regarding the job or the application process, contact Lydia Garcia in Human Resources at 602-347-2622.
