Unity presents ‘Chanting in Chapel’ Lynne Haeseler, pianist and founder of Sanctorum, presents Chanting in the Chapel on Tuesday, Aug. 19 and 26, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Unity of Phoenix, 1500 E. Faith leaders learn about cancer issues The Wellness Community, in cooperation with the Arizona Interfaith Movement, Arizona Department of Health Services, the Arizona Ecumenical Council and numerous other organizations, is bringing together the leaders of all faith communities for “Facing Cancer with the Faith Community.” It is a conference designed to educate and provide tools, information and best practices to the community. Various faith leaders, medical experts and professionals will be presenting. The conference will be held 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug.28 at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort, 5401 N. Scottsdale Road. Programs offered just for youth Momentum, a worship experience designed for students, begins 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 at Royal Palms Baptist Church, 8802 N. 19th Ave. It continues Friday evenings; the theme is “Salt.” In addition, the church offers an AWANA program beginning Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program is for children from age 4 through the sixth grade.
