Hoffman joins Ottowa team
Allan Hoffman has accepted the position of campus executive officer of Ottawa University’s Arizona campuses, including its Phoenix campus at 10020 N. 25th Ave. Hoffman has more than three decades of experience in higher education in teaching, leadership and community relations. 

 

Hoffman comes to Ottawa University from Hartnell College in California where he served as vice president for instruction. He also served as dean of the College of Health Sciences at Des Moines University (IA), associate dean at California State University, associate dean of instruction at Compton College (CA), director of curriculum and administration at St. Francis Medical Center/University of Southern California, and director of continuing education at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

    Hoffman earned his doctorate in higher education administration from Columbia University (N.Y.), where he was named a Kellogg Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Higher Education. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford (Conn.) and earned two master’s degrees in the areas of higher education/adult education and philosophy and the social sciences from Columbia University (NY).
