| Trio forms new bank for community |

There is a certainty about our current economic times that has led three local business bankers, with a collective banking experience of nearly 80 years, to form Partners National Bank. Given their in-depth knowledge of banking, Ward Hickey, Jim Miller and Bill Young agree that this is “an excellent time” to start a community bank to serve individuals and organizations whose financial needs are not being met in the Valley of the Sun.
Federal regulators have given preliminary approval for the formation of Partners National Bank at 5090 N. 40th St. and the capital campaign is well under way. A carefully handpicked staff, all of whom are partners in the bank, already is in place. In addition, the bank’s board of directors comprises local business people who have a stake in the community—Arizonans who understand Arizonans. The opening is targeted for early this fall.
