PCM has prenatal music program
The Phoenix Conservatory of Music is offering Lovenotes, a program for expectant couples who wish to use music as a bonding language with their unborn child.
The five week program begins Sept. 9 and takes place 7:20-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the PCM facility, 7801 N. Black Canyon Highway. Cost is $150 per couple.
Before a baby is born, somewhere in the fourth or fifth month of pregnancy, the child can hear sounds from the outside world. By using the voice, along with folk songs, musical instruments, rhythm and movement, the Lovenotes program establishes loving communication and a strong bond between the baby and parents.
If you are interested in the class but are not in your fifth to ninth month of pregnancy, you can be added to a waiting list for a class that starts when you are ready.
Class is limited to four couples. For more information or to register, call 602-353-9900.
