Lon’s hosts an artist brunch

Painter Betty Bozenka Peterson will be the featured guest for an interactive Artist Brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at Lon’s at The Hermosa Inn. Throughout the morning, Peterson will be available for one-on-one interaction with guests as she demonstrates her painting techniques on Lon's scenic patio. Peterson uses vivid, vibrant colors to bring her paintings of flowers, places and people to life. A Czechoslovakian-born artist who has lived in the Valley for more than 30 years, Peterson attended the Kachina School of Art in Phoenix, the Scottsdale Artists School, and was a student of the late muralist Jay Datus. Peterson also is an experienced interior designer. Lon’s Sunday brunch menu includes roasted chicken and gruyere omelet, banana walnut pancakes, ahi tuna sandwich with mango and poblano chutney, pan-roasted beef tenderloin medallions, and short rib sliders.
