Phoenix-based Well Kept Wallet, a personal finance site dedicated to helping people save money, make money, and pay off debt, is launching a new college scholarship program. To kick-off the program, the organization is hosting its first-ever college scholarship essay contest.

Young adults 18 and over can submit an essay for a chance to be awarded one of two scholarships. The first place winner will receive $1,000, and the second place winner will receive $500. Essay entries must be received by Oct. 15.

The essay topic is: “Show us your extraordinary money moves.” Entrants should address the topic and questions, available online, in a 750 to 1,000-word essay.

The college essay contest is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students, age 18 and over. Essays should be emailed to info@wellkeptwallet.com in a .doc, .pdf, or .docx format. For entry guidelines and rules, visit www.wellkeptwallet.com/scholarship.
