Tinnitus is the term used to describe sounds like ringing, buzzing, etc. that people hear in their heads. Millions of people experience tinnitus and have learned to ignore it. However, some need tinnitus intervention because that noise is interfering with their communication, sleep and/or everyday activities.
Learn more about new sound therapies and other therapies that are available at a program set for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25 in the Family Life Center at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave. The program will be presented by audiologist Dr. Susan R. Schmidt of Arizona Balance and Hearing Aids (www.azbalanceandhearing.com).
