An athletic resort closed because of the COVID-19 epidemic is shifting gears and providing meals to people.

Life Time Biltmore has opened its Biltmore LifeCafe fast-casual restaurant for curbside carry-out and delivery services through DoorDash. It is providing delivery within a five-mile radius of its location of 2580 E. Camelback Road from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Food purchases from LifeCafe are available to the public.

Offerings include individual and family size portions including salads, sandwiches, wraps, entrees and kids’ meals. LifeCafe notes that its menu items are free of highly processed and artificial ingredients, including preservatives, flavors, sweeteners, colors, trans fats, bleached flours and added hormones and antibiotics. Menu items include a Mediterranean salad with romaine lettuce, spinach, chicken, turkey, nitrate-free bacon, grape tomatoes, cucumber and Kalamata olives; a California chicken sandwich with swiss cheese, roasted bell pepper, romaine, avocado and tomato with housemade black pepper mayonnaise on a toasted ciabatta and BBQ chicken and bacon macaroni and cheese with elbow macaroni, cheddar cheese, chicken, nitrate-free bacon and BBQ sauce topped with green onion.
