The Writer’s Inspiration Group (WIG) is a fun and creative group of writers who meet each Tuesday, currently via Zoom. Each week they spend an hour or so writing from prompts.

Prompts are as simple as “write about your favorite food.” Or “tell us what spring looks like in your neighborhood.” Prompts are meant to be simple and inspirational. There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is to just let the writing flow. Keep the pen, or computer keys, moving. The group will write for five to 10 minutes on each prompt. Writers can choose whether to read work aloud. Organizers say that in time, it becomes easier and more fun.

The Writer’s Inspiration Group meets 3–4:30 p.m. each Tuesday via Zoom. There is no fee to participate. Those interested in joining should contact Susanne Brent at susanholly@cox.net, who can provide answers to any questions.
