Residents of all ages are invited to participate in the 2025 Team Taylor Family Fun Run 5K, which will raise funds to support Phoenix Children’s Hospital (submitted photo).

Team Taylor has been raising funds for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome research since 2013. Neighbors have run, walked, biked, scootered and enjoyed this event in many different ways, but the event is more than a run; it is a place for all people to meet and show their support to families who have lost a child to SUID.

At 5 months old, Taylor Paige Cosmas went down for a nap and never woke up. The grief from losing their first-born daughter fueled the motivation for Mark and Katie Cosmas to change their purpose and create Team Taylor to raise money for SIDS research so that other families would have to go through the pain they endured. Team Taylor has raised more than $1 million to date.

This year, the Team Taylor Family Fun Run 5K will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Safe Sleep & Home Safety program. The event is a 3-mile run along the Arcadia Canal (Arcadia Drive and Indian School Road) and will take place Sunday, April 6, from 8 to 10 a.m. The Fun Run is open to all ages.
