The community will gather at O.H.S.O./Little O’s, 4900 E. Indian School Road, on Saturday, April 19, for the Cade’s Day Fundraiser. The cornhole tournament will raise funds, celebrate the life of Cade Keller and raise awareness of issues surrounding suicide.

Cade Keller was 16 years old when he took his own life in 2022. His family started Cade’s Day to channel their grief to help others. Their hope is to spread awareness about mental health and to encourage others to take action if they see someone expressing suicidal intent. They also hope to raise money to support students in non-traditional career paths.

Funds raised at the event will go to the Cade Keller Scholarship Fund, which supports students at the welding program at Mesa Community College, where Cade was a student. The family also is collaborating with Schuff Steel on a 30,000-square-foot welding expansion at MCC in their son’s honor.

On-site registration begins at 11 a.m.; cornhole bags fly at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $50. For more information, call 619-829-4645 or visit www.ohsobrewery.com/cades-day.
