The Skye’s the Limit Foundation will host its free Roots of Resilience Summer Program at the Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N. 3rd St., from June 8 to July 16. The summer arts and wellness program is open to young people ages 8 to 17.

Held Monday through Thursday, 1-3 p.m., program activities will include Mural Mondays – design and paint a community mural while building leadership and teamwork; Arts & Crafts Tuesday and Thursdays – creative projects that promote self-expression, mindfulness and friendship; and Mindfulness & Yoga Wednesdays – learn tools to manage stress, regulate emotions and feel more grounded.

The mission of Skye’s the Limit Foundation is to prevent trauma-related loss by substance overdose and suicide by building resiliency and empowering youth, families and communities through trauma-informed advocacy, education, peer support and evidence-informed creative arts and nature-based intervention strategies.
