After being hit by a car and treated at Arizona Humane Society’s trauma hospital, seven-year-old Siberian Husky Ophelia is ready for her next chapter (submitted photo).

Covered in dirt with muddy paws, Ophelia was found in dire straits when she was rescued in December of last year. Thanks to an Arizona Humane Society Emergency Animal Medical Technician, the seven-year-old Siberian Husky was given a second chance at life after she was hit by a car.

Ophelia was treated in the shelter’s trauma hospital where she received a dental treatment and then went into a loving Foster Hero home for continued care until she fully recovered. Although she was hurt and scared while in the Arizona Humane Society’s care, this sweet senior never lost her smile and bright demeanor.

A true testament to the work being done to help homeless pets in our community, Ophelia (pet number 834651) is a great example of a life saved thanks to the support of animal lovers throughout the Valley. Now, she is looking forward to a life full of long naps, walks full of sniffs and never-ending pets whenever she wants them.

Optimistic Ophelia’s adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. Visit this gorgeous girl at the Arizona Humane Society’s Papago Park Campus, 5501 E. Van Buren St., or learn more at www.azhumane.org/adopt to give her the loving forever home she deserves.
