World AIDS Day Memorial Quilt Display and Candlelight Vigil

December 1, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This community event will commemorate the worldwide effort to end HIV-related stigma, pay tribute to those who have been lost, and renew community commitment to achieving an HIV-free world.

View the AIDS Memorial Quilt Display sponsored by Gilead, presented by Aunt Rita’s Foundation. As part of a visual installation and video space organized by one-n-ten, learn about the history of HIV/AIDS and activism in Arizona. To conclude the night, there will be a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. Following the ceremony, enjoy hot cider and snacks before a screening of the film “AIDS Diva: The Legend of Connie Norman” and a conversation with the film’s director, Dante Alencastre, and special guests.

Limited designated and street parking is available. Attendees are encouraged to use the light rail —  the Central & Roosevelt Station is one block away — or ride-sharing options instead.
