Purple Lizard Boutique, 2827 N. 15th Ave., celebrates 15 years of providing Valley residents with a great place to find fun and unique home and gift items. To mark the anniversary, the shop will offer a 20-percent discount storewide from Sept. 16-21.
Purple Lizard is filled with an eclectic mix of artist-inspired clothing, handcrafted silver jewelry, local and Mexican art, fashion accessories, handmade candles, Mexican furnishings, gifts, Dia de los Muertos items, Mexican dresses, tin work, vintage purses and oilcloth by the yard.
Nestled in the Encanto-Palmcroft Neighborhood Historic District, Purple Lizard opened in September 1998 and has survived all the ups and downs of the economy thanks to its unique offerings.
“I started with a dream of a boutique where there would be something for everyone,” recalls owner Marguerite Tram. “This includes clothing, unique handmade items, and found treasures that are not carried in chain stores. Our selections are continually changing and allow shoppers to search, find, and sometimes laugh in their discovery of unique items.”
