Smarty Pants Consignment, 3138 E. Indian School Road, is celebrating its 5-year anniversary by hosting a food and toiletry drive for Interfaith Cooperative Ministries (ICM).

ICM’s Food & Clothing Bank in downtown Phoenix serves more than 120 families and individuals every day. Most of ICM’s clients are the working poor; families with children make up more than 50 percent of all ICM clients.

Those who drop off a donation at Smarty Pants in May will receive a coupon good for 10-percent off their total purchase. Only one 10-percent off coupon can be used at a time and cannot be combined with other sales.
Smarty Pants helps ICM on a weekly basis by donating clothing, books and toys that cannot be sold in the store. All donations are given with the consignor’s permission and the consignor takes the tax credit.

Suggested items for donation include toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, laundry soap, etc.); baby formula and diapers; tuna or canned meats; peanut butter & jelly; bags of rice and noodles; and miscellaneous canned foods.

There will be an ICM collection box at the back of the Smarty Pants store near the “Take-In” table. For more information, call 602-957-0989.
