Robert Watson has been promoted to executive chef at Steak 44, 5101 N. 44th St.

Watson, who has had a passion for fine cuisine from a young age, started as a chef’s apprentice in Philadelphia and worked his way up to executive chef at his first job and from there, landed similar roles in Seattle.

After settling in Arizona 12 years ago, Watson worked at several of the Valley’s finest country clubs. He later joined the Mastro family as a sous chef at Dominick’s Steakhouse before moving over to sister eatery, Steak 44.

Steak 44 has seafood flown in daily and all of the beef is cut in-house by the Steak 44 Master Butcher.
