Seniors who possess a city recreation card are invited to attend two holiday events this month at the Sunnyslope Senior Center, 802 E. Vogel Ave.

Center volunteers invite you to enjoy a craft and bake sale Dec. 5-9. Various items will be sold ranging from handcrafted jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, etc.) to scarves and winter wear. All proceeds generated from the sale are donated to the Sunnyslope Advisory Board to support senior programs and special events.

Then on Tuesday, Dec. 13, the center hosts its annual holiday show featuring entertainer Lynn Edwards. The three-person act will offer a holiday-themed performance with singing and light comedy. In addition, members from the Adam Diaz Senior Center will be in attendance. The Sunnyslope Holiday show is open to the public and begins promptly at 12:30 p.m.

If you do not current have a recreation card, you can purchase one at the center for $20. The card is good for one year from the date of purchase.
