The next expedition of the Sunnyslope Graffiti Fighters will take place Saturday, May 6. This is the last group outing before the summer break. Interested volunteers should meet in the parking lot by the canal on the west side of Sunnyslope High School swimming pool, on the south side of Dunlap just east of 7th Avenue.
Work will start promptly at 8 a.m. and finish at 10 a.m. and will involve picking up trash and some graffiti paint-overs in the immediate area, including the bike/walking tunnels that run under the roadway. Youth and adults are welcome. If you are volunteering for credit hours, come at 7:45 a.m. so you can be checked in and assigned to a team.
Wear grubby clothes and close-toed shoes and sun stop. Leave non-essential valuables at home. Water and the supplies for the cleanup will be provided. RSVP to bkmcgee@cox.net so the appropriate amount of supplies can be on-hand.
