What started as a vintage furniture and home goods showroom based out of Brooklyn, N.Y., recently relocated to the Valley. Shane and Johnna Quinn opened their first BASE retail shop on Aug. 1 at 2811 N. 7th Ave.

BASE is focused on minimalist design and timeless craftsmanship. The store is a mix of carefully curated vintage home wares and furniture that offers function and utility for the modern, thoughtful home. The space also includes a plant shop with a variety of houseplants, cacti and succulents as well as a rotating collection of artfully paired vintage planters and plants.

Pieces range in style from classic mid-century to eighties and nineties modern and include furniture, ceramics, lighting, glassware, art and textiles. The selection changes regularly as new finds are added each week.

BASE is in a shared space with clothing boutique NOONS and is open Monday through Saturday from 12 to 6:30 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. You can find more details at www.welcometobase.com.
