Beautiful Alona is a sweet pup that needs time to learn to trust the people in her life.
While not much is known about her past, while working with the Arizona Humane Society’s Behavior Team, it has been determined that this adorable six-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier needs to have at least one woman in her life. She will need to be slowly introduced to the men and children that are in her future forever family. Whatever her past, she certain lives up to the meaning of her name, which means “strong as an oak,” as she shows her compassionate side and learns to trust people more and more each day.
Alona has an adorable smile and ears that perk up during playtime. It is hard to say “no” to that cute face of hers when she asks for snacks. Like all of the pets that have come through AHS’ doors before her, Alona is certainly a pup that is deserving of a second chance at a great life.
Meet Alona by visiting her at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Campus at 9226 N. 13th Ave. Ask for animal number 621403. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip, current vaccinations and a free follow-up vet exam. She might have been adopted by the time people visit the shelter, but Arizona Humane Society has dozens of other wonderful pets that need loving homes.
