Ballet Theatre of Phoenix is returning to the stage with a performance of Tchaikovsky’s popular “Swan Lake” this month.

This presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral Phoenix at 1973 E. Maryland Ave. Ballet Theatre of Phoenix director Jennifer Cafarella choreographed this ballet, which features students’ artistry and serves as the spring program for the school. Considered one of the greatest classical ballets, “Swan Lake” requires tremendous technical strength and ability, as well as excellent physical performance to portray the nuanced characters.

Ballet Theatre of Phoenix, located at 6201 N. Seventh St., hosts top ballet and contemporary dance instructors who teach dancers ages 3 to adult. It also is the home to Convergence Ballet Company, which allows dancers to explore different movements that are rooted in classical ballet.

Tickets to “Swan Lake” are $15 each and are available at www.ballettheatreofphx.org. To learn more about Ballet Theatre of Phoenix’s classes, summer intensive and other training programs visit the website or call 602-957-3364.
