The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation is asking local businesses to help it provide 100 internships to high school students this academic year.

ElevateEdAZ, a program of the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation, has been linking businesses with schools to develop the future workforce by offering career awareness, exploration and work-based learning opportunities promoting high-demand, high-wage industries. The Chamber and Chamber Foundation boards of directors have been asking their members to become involved with the internships. Several businesses already have committed to offering internships but more are needed.

The Chamber is leveraging partnerships with area businesses and organizations to provide at least 120 hours of internship experience for high school seniors from January to May. ElevateEdAZ has teamed up with the Phoenix Union High School District and Mesa Public Schools to support businesses in matching internship options with high school seniors who are enrolled in and finishing Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
