Learn how to handle emergency health situations in a free class at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center Campus Cowden Center on June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Stop the Bleed class will focus on teaching participants basic bleeding control methods, including direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquet use. A trauma services paramedic and registered nurse will teach the class. The goal of the course is to stop unnecessary death from trauma and preventable mass bleeding.
