Indulge in the tastes of Sicily in the comfort of your home in an online lecture provided by AARP this month.

Check out “Savoring Sicily: 2,000 Years of History in 100 Iconic Dishes – Food Historian Lecture Series with Francine Segan,” presented by AARP from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13. Food historian Segan will review how various cultures, including those of ancient Greece, Rome, France, Spain and the Arab and Byzantine worlds influenced the flavors of Sicily’s well-known dishes. She will talk about more than 2,000 years of Sicilian history as she and participants explore Nero’s role in the origin of Sicily’s sorbetto.
