The Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) celebrated the re-launch of its Latinos Unidos initiative and a groundbreaking first-year grant awards of the Latinas in Philanthropy & Service (LIPS) giving circle at a Sept. 5 event. Titled “United for Arizona | Unidos por Arizona,” the event brought together influential Latino leaders and advocates.
“Latinos comprise a significant portion of Arizona’s population, yet they are vastly underrepresented in the philanthropic sector,” said Anna María Chávez, Esq., president and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation in a released statement. “Latinos Unidos is a movement designed to change this narrative and empower Latino generosity. This event served as a powerful platform to showcase the incredible work being done by Latino leaders and organizations across our state.”
With a goal of fostering a more equitable and impactful philanthropic landscape in Arizona, the initiative provides resources and support for Latino donors and organizations, and the LIPS giving circle, launched within Latinos Unidos, unites passionate Latinas dedicated to supporting a brighter future for Latinas in Arizona.
