Duet: Partners In Health & Aging is looking for volunteers to help isolated, elderly and homebound adults who live in North Central Phoenix and other parts of the Valley this summer.

According to the agency, 74 homebound adults are waiting to be matched with volunteers. These seniors receive free-of-charge services including assistance with grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, making minor home repairs, help with basic paperwork and friendly visits. Many homebound residents are going without needed support in the summer.

Volunteers must first participate in an orientation. Two upcoming orientations for volunteers will take place 5-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Duet offices, 10000 N. 31st Ave., Suite D200, and from 9-11:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 N. 10th St.

To sign up, visit www.duetaz.org/volunteer, e-mail volunteer@duetaz.org or call 602-274-5022.
