Some things grow better with age and in that spirit, the Arizona Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for all dogs and cats who are at least 7 years old this month.

Adoption fees usually range widely, starting at $50. Most senior pets are typically on the less expensive end of the adoption fee schedule as a way to help them find their permanent homes. Residents generally tend to adopt puppies and kittens very quickly while the more mature pets take much longer to be taken home by their “fur-ever” families. However, adopting a senior pet offers many benefits as most of them are already trained and you can tell what their personality is like.
