Several North Central Phoenix residents are among the contenders for the 2020 Governor’s Arts Awards.

Sixty artists, arts organizations and administrators, businesses and philanthropists from around the state have been nominated. Finalists will be announced this month at special events in Phoenix, Prescott, Tucson, Yuma and Winslow. The winners will be acknowledged at the 39th annual Governor’s Arts Awards on March 26 in Mesa.

North Central nominees are Steve Ciezki (Artist), Sam Gomez/Sagrado Galleria (Arts Administrator/ Organization), Dorothy Lincoln Smith (Philanthropy), OnMedia (Business), Andre Licardi (Arts Administrator/ Organization), Chris Hamby (Artist), Teniqua Broughton (Arts Administrator/ Organization), Phoenix Center for the Arts (Arts Admin/Org) and House of Broadcasting Radio & Television Museum, Inc. (Arts Admin/Org).
