Construction is underway on a new  facility for Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona (Free Arts). The nearly 14,000-square-foot building, located at at 352 E. Camelback Road, will be named The Bob & Renee Parsons Center for Hope and Healing. It will accommodate programming, staff and volunteer growth and a community center for training, workshops and events and feature artwork and stories that will cultivate a deeper understanding of children who have experienced the trauma of abuse or homelessness..

The project was made possible by a  $2.5 million grant from the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation in August of 2017 so that the Free Arts could double its physical space and provide funding for two of its signature programs. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by September and a grand opening will take place in January 2020.
