In an effort to keep Phoenix beautiful and sustainable, I Recycle Phoenix will return to Christown Spectrum Mall, 1607 W. Bethany Home Road, on Saturday, Jan. 11., from 7 a.m. to noon.

Items accepted at the event include hard drives, laptops, computer towers, cell phones and other electronics by Full Circle Electronics; gently used adult and children’s bicycles by Bike Saviours; nonperishable food, housewares, clothing and gardening supplies by Nourish Phoenix; new and gently used furniture, appliances, housewares and building materials by Habitat for Humanity; soft plastic bags, bubble wrap and clean and dry Ziploc bags by Recyclops; plastic yard signs by City of Phoenix Public Works; up to five boxes of sensitive documents for off-site shredding by Friedman Recycling Companies; and garden supplies by Keep Phoenix Beautiful.

CRT monitors, single-use batteries, light bulbs, prescription drugs and hazardous waste will not be accepted. Phoenix residents may call 602-262-6251 or visit www.phoenix.gov/hhw for information on how to dispose of hazardous waste.
