Anhelo restaurant at 114 W. Adams St., #C103 in downtown Phoenix, is moving. The property closed its current location on Saturday, Nov. 23, and will reopen in Scottsdale this winter. In its place, chef and owner Ivan Jacobo plans to open Flour and Thyme, a contemporary American bistro, before year’s end.
“It is bittersweet closing Anhelo in Phoenix, but I am excited to give our downtown residents and visitors a new concept that will be more aligned with their needs,” said Jacobo. “We look forward to moving Anhelo into Scottsdale early next year and continuing to develop it into a global dining destination.”
The downtown Phoenix dining community holds a special place in Jacobo’s heart. He says that he is thrilled to be continuing there with Flour and Thyme, which he considers a “thank you” to Phoenix diners for helping him build Anhelo. He hopes that the new restaurant will better serve diners there, whether they live nearby or are heading downtown for a game, concert or other event. The new menu is expected to offer a variety of land, sea and garden dishes, along with an excellent wine program as well as specialty cocktails.
