Residents of all ages are invited to get a jump on New Year’s resolutions by connecting to healthy community resources through the city of Phoenix FitPHX programs.

FitPHX is a citywide initiative dedicated to improving health and wellness in the region and making Phoenix one of the healthiest cities in the nation. The initiative connects the community to city of Phoenix programs and services, promoting all-inclusive health and wellness for the mind, body and spirit by providing no-cost community programs open to all ages, levels, and abilities.

Programs offered include Morning Yoga at Encanto Park Clubhouse, 2499 N. 15th Ave., held the second Saturday of each month from 9-10 a.m. The final class for 2025 will be held Dec. 13. To learn about this program, call 602-262-6864 or send an email fitphx@phoenix.gov.

Also available are a variety of free virtual classes that can be accessed at residents’ convenience. Access to all virtual programs is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Programs focus on strength, flow, cardio, yoga, movement and more.

Finally, grab your friends or family, head to your local park and look for the WalkPHX signs for a self-led walking program. WalkPHX walking paths feature detailed route signage and mileage markers to help participants track their fitness goals. In the North Central area, find paths at Los Olivos Park, North Mountain Park, Rose Mofford Sports Complex, Steele Indian School Park and Washington Park, among others.
