Over the summer months, Jewish Family & Children Service’s Senior Enrichment Program will offer a wide variety of programs for the Valley’s older adults to move forward, stay engaged and have fun.

From May 1 to June 5, Tai Chi-inspired exercise will help participants improve their balance, flexibility and relaxation in a six-week exercise class held 1–2 p.m. Engage in full-body stretching, balancing exercises and relaxation techniques to boost mobility and strength. This class is ideal for those adults who can comfortably stand and walk.

Beginner Line Dancing will help adults unleash their rhythm in a beginner-friendly six-session line dance class from Wednesday, May 7, to Wednesday, June 11, 11 a.m. to noon. Whether standing or seated, participants will enjoy moving to the music, getting a great workout, and improving memory and muscle strength. Dance to classic oldies, country hits, Motown and a little Elvis.

Discover the joy of watercolor painting from Thursday, May 22, to Thursday, June 26, 10 a.m. to noon. Explore various painting styles, including pop art, realism and impressionism, while learning essential techniques like color mixing, simplifying shapes and establishing focal points. This fun, supportive class offers a great opportunity to develop skills and meet new people while creating beautiful art.
